Hamilton is a small rural-suburban town with a population just over 8,000. Located on the North Shore of Massachusetts it is known for its beautiful landscape, old stone walls and historic homes.
Hamilton offers homeowners plenty of land and is also well known for its equestrian heritage and is home to many horse farms and the Myopia Hunt Club. Originally founded in 1638, it was originally part of nearby Ipswich known as “The Hamlet.” Hamilton later became its own township, but the name stuck.
Hamilton is closely tied to neighboring Wenham where it shares a school system, library, recreation department and commuter rail station. Points of interest in Hamilton include the Hamilton Historic District,Asbury Grove, Austin-Brown House, Myopia Hunt Club and the Woodberry-Quarrels House.
